We ran them upstate NY. Saved a ton of money on gas. Easy to drive, tons of space. Ours were RWD police package from Warnock with the same tires NYSPD ran on their chargers. We fit all of our gear in the trunk without any problems (Defib, 2 oxygen duffels, BLS bag, ALS primary bag, spare ALS bag, vent, suction, KED, everything). We typically put the defib and the primary ALS bag on the top and popped the trunk on arrival. Best setup ever. No complaints; highly recommend. We had to run the SUV's in big snow storms though, otherwise charger was the primary vehicle.
Empress will have a lot of luck with this new AWD I bet. Congrats!

9/18/12 Pleasantville VAC accepted the delivery of the new 76B2. It is a 2012 Ford 450 Chassis with a LifeLine Box.

Here is a video of a live burn demonstration of a mock dorm room that the Canton Fire Department put on for St. Lawrence University's Safety Fair Day. Volunteering in a town with 2 Universities, we get a lot of box alarms and students tend to think that when the fire alarm goes off, its not necessarily an emergency and can stay in their buildings. We wanted to show how quick a room and contents fire can occur in a dorm room.
As well as the live burn, we had fogged out a large room and brought students through, showing them what it would be like in our "working" environment. We also taught them how to find a wall and look for a door or window to get out of the smoke filled environment to safety.

By the time Pleasantville FD was toned out for the alarm it was already fully involved. The job was purely exterior operations and protecting near by obstructions
