Im looking for more advanced rescue classes rather than just rescue tech which the county offers. Can anyone point me in the direction for confined space training and training along those lines? Thanks

60 control is a great dispatcher. I feel every department should use them, its makes things a lot easier.

I have a scanner that is on my nightstand along my back wall of my room and my brother has one along the same wall but on the other side (our rooms are next to each other) the other night i was listening to a call come over his scanner but not mine! Really confused on why, his antenna is fixed on standing straight up while mine can do a 360. Any suggestions or help? Thanks

The scanners are literally 4 inches away from each other only a wall separates them and i have a pretty big window in my room and it sits maybe 6 feet from the window and the frequency that my brothers picks up and mine doesn't sometimes is the 46.26.

I realize if a channel is locked out but I also dont get the best reception either

we both have the same frequencies and the squelch has always been set on half way.

-Male called and requested an ambulance because his hemorrhoids where bothering him -Female called and requested an ambulance because she forgot to take her medication -Man called 911 because his keys fell down the sewer grate -Man called 911 because his neighbor was hitting golf balls into his yard (he made no attempt to talk to the man before calling) -Family called 911 because there child wouldn't brush their teeth before bed

Tarrytown VAC gets dispatched by there PD, irvington VAC, SHAC, PVAC alot more just cant think of them.

You submit an application usually found in town hall or online then if theres an opening they'll call you.

The only they filmed in SH was the fly over of the village, with regards to accurate police uniform it is nothing like SHPD nothing in the show that I've seen represents the village that i love and protect.

This happens alot more than you think theres other villages out there that this happened to another rivertowns VAC just came out of a problem like that.
