Can Rye FD volunteers drive the apparatus?
-
How many firefighters does Rye have on shift now, and what apparatus at what firehouses do they staff?
-
I saw the part with the air intake and exhaust, but does it exhaust the air outside, where and how?

How much is the "Buddy Breathing Connection" versus a RIT pack?

I hope this isn't just the tip of the iceberg for departments in Putnam County. If it is, there's got to be a lot of departments scrambling right now.

This guy had it all. A good job, great family,a nice house, and gave it all up to protect us from terrorists. He didn't do it because he had to, he did it because he wanted to. RIP.

A "rumor" is all that is being that the topic hasnt been discussed as of yet
That's what I put in my post, a rumor and probably nothing more. The county assignments say Engine 52 is reserved for West Harrison though. Any history or significance with that number?

is this replacing engine 267
Yes, but heard a rumor the designation could be "Engine 52".

If an officer signs on in an apparatus (such as Car 2**** on Rescue **), shouldn't they identify as the apparatus, and not their car number?

It's like North White Plains going to Old Orchard street all the time, or Briarcliff and the Atria.

Nice shots. Is that Hartsdale's new logo on the jackets?

Didn't the last Engine 164 get shipped to some Caribbean island and then was destroyed by a volcano eruption?

Are these the first brush trucks with pump and roll, or did the others have them as well?

Why WOULDN'T Governor Cuomo sign this?

2. Tankers were needed, which Bedford lacks.
4. Anyone with a scanner knows Bedford struggles to cover what seems like the majority of their calls. Why take the gamble?
Couldn't that problem be resolved with a Pumper-Tanker like Bedford Hills Tanker 5? Or make it Bedford Hills Station 2 since they seem to be flush with manpower.

Inquiring parties want to know. Wonder why it's being kept such a top secret. I'd love to know the criteria to request it, and if it's even still available.I hope I hear an IC request it to the scene, especially now that winter's coming and see what happens.

This just has to be an unfortunate coincidence.
A firefighter who was allowed to graduate the Fire Academy despite failing physical tests has already gone out on medical leave just 10 days into the job, The Post has learned.
Probationary firefighter Choeurlyne Doirin-Holder injured herself Monday while conducting a routine check of equipment at Queens Engine 308 in South Richmond Hill. Getting off the truck, Doirin-Holder missed a step and landed on her left foot, suffering a fracture, sources said.
