I would suspect that these 2 New Ferrara Pumpers will go to Engine 313 and 303 to replace 2003 and 2006 units respectfully (but someone within YFD would certainly know better than I)
You are correct.

I believe one post said " Hey Mr. Mayor what about our 11 positions." My one comment is that you guys caved when you shouldn't have, amicone is a liar and you guys fell for it.... he should restore your positions as an act of good faith but he doesn't have a great record with labor so who knows.I don't want to see cuts anywhere but don't take away from the achievements of our people because of the problems in your department.
Just my 2 cents
"You Guys Caved" is a tough comment to make. Our situation (Fd) was much different than yours (Pd). We didn't have the numbers retiring like the Pd . We had to do, what we had to do, for our Men and any decision was not taken lightly.
And as far as taking away the achievements of your members , that's just a ridiculous comment. We all understand the study time and commitment that goes into promotional exams. I can't speak for any other Fd members posting here but I'm sure any comments are directed at how the city is handling the situation not and the men and women who were promoted. I'm sorry but that's just a juvenile interpretation.
