  1. WOW!! I like the new look, much better looking than the old body style.
  2. I had seen one of these about three weeks ago on the road, and had no idea what it was at first. I thought it was a Taurus station wagon at first. Then a few days later I saw the commercial for it. It still looks like a cross over of the Taurus and the Edge.
  3. It looks like they stuck the rear end of a Challenger on it.
  4. I past through Nashville last August. I had planned on staying the night there on my way to Canton, Ohio, but ended up staying in Goodlettsville instead.
  5. They are search lights. Unlike the other rigs where the search light is mounted up near the roof, H&L-1 as them mounted under the windshield. I couldn't tell you what brand they are though.
  6. Quint 33 is one of the few stations in Fort Worth where they don't have an Engine assigned. Station 9, and 13 are the other stations. Quint 33 runs with an Attack Company since the next closet FWFD station is about 5 miles a way. Quint 33 is located in Centreport on the far Eastern edge of the city just South of D/FW Airport. They have American Airlines Headquarters and several industrial buildings, hotels, apartments, and a TRE Rail Station in their first due district. The City of Euless, Grand Prairie, and D/FW Airport have stations closer to Quint 33's quarters than FWFD does.
  7. Pierce Arrow XT: LA City, and Forsyth, Georgia Spartan Gladiator: Fort Worth, Arlington, and Dallas Pierce Dash Midmount: Boston, and Bridgeport KME: LACoFD And for kicks, How about the black with silver flames PIERCE VELOCITY as a Diamond Plate?!!
  8. I have 91 Code 3's with 1 waiting to ship next week, and 6 Corgi's.
  9. Hi Guys!! I was a long time member of the Code 3 Board also. Unlike Andy with his 6,800+ posts, I only had just shy of 5,200. We weren't all bad over there. Just a select few ruined it for everyone. Oh well, I've been on here before, and just kind of larking around from time to time. I use to have a few pictures floating around here from the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Once I get familiar with everything here, you might see a little more of me. I promise Seth, I'll behave here. BTW...Seth, what happened to my little Fort Worth Quint picture that use to be under my name? Peter
  10. Here's the new Squad 2. Squad 2
  11. None of the Engines in Fort Worth are American LaFrance. They run Spartan/General, Spartan/Rosenbauer, and Freightliner/General Engines. They have 3 American LaFrance aerial/towers (2 midmount, and 1 rearmount), and 9 American LaFrance Quints. Then there's the one 135' E-One Ladder.
  12. Fort Worth has a E-One 135' aerial, and South Padre Island, Texas has a 174' Pierce Arrow Bronto-Skylift. Chicago still has their E-One 135', but it's soon to be replaced by a Pierce 105' tower.
  13. Okay, I think the links are working now. Here's the new Engine 22. It has blue, and silver chevrons on the rear. Engine 22
  14. How come I can't post, or link the photo on here anymore? It use to work, but I haven't posted here in over a year.
  15. Seth....Glad to hear you had a great time out West!!! I'll take that Pierce Arrow XT Engine 41!! 8) 8)
  16. I know we say things are BIGGER in Texas, but that's a little too much!!  Oh...of course they chose to built it here in the Dallas area. 8-[
  17. Frazer....they're out of Houston, and are very popular around the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Dallas Fire Rescue runs X635's favorite....ALL Wheeled Coach!! :-P :-P
  18. Here's a sneak peek of the new Truck 2 for the Fort Worth Fire Dept. I took this photo at the Freightliner/ALF dealer in North Fort Worth. She should be going into service within the next month. (Photo is property of Task Force 7)
  19. That did NOT happen at a Dallas Firehouse.  It was the City of Lancaster Fire Station 3. They were cooking, when the alarms went off for a MVA on I-35E. @ Beltline Rd. They just happened to leave the potatoes cooking on the stove, and responded to the call. A passer-by noticed smoke coming from Station 3, and called 911. The fire did $125,000 in damage to the living quarters, and kitchen. It amazes me that the media can't even get the story right.
  20. Hi there everyone. I have started a Yahoo Group with the help of another member. The new group is about the Fort Worth Fire Dept. We're just getting started, but there's about 10 photos on there. Also we discuss what's going on in, and around Fort Worth, Texas. Feel free to stop by, and join. Thanks!! Peter http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/fwfd/
  21. I know Pantego, TX. holds an EMS event every year. They shut down the street along side the Fire Station, and hold a big event with Fire/EMS/Police present. CareFlite normally will bring one of their Helicopters to show off also. The kids can take a ride around the block on the Engine. There's clowns, food, soft drinks, shows, and even an extrication deminstration. It's FUN for kids of all ages!!
  22. Thanks for the photos!!! =D> I'll be waiting for her arrival here in Fort Worth!!! Now I just have to figure out, do I camp out at the Fort Worth Freightliner dealer, or the Fort Worth Fire Dept. Shop. #-o You are shipping it Fed-Ex overnight, correct?!! :-P :-P
  23. In regards to Crimson Fire making their own aerials, Arlington, Texas has one of these on order. It's due to arrive sometime this Summer. I would expect it to be done in time to make an appearance at Fire Rescue International in New Orleans in August. Also on order from Crimson Fire are a couple all Crimson built Tillers for Dallas Fire Rescue. I can't wait to see the new Truck 2 (we don't call them Ladders [-X ) for Fort Worth. :-P I was hoping someone would send me some photos, but instead I got photos of a VEMS Bus. LOL :-P
