  1. I heard there is a Firemans memorial located in Ossinig, and that you can buy engraved bricks through a website someplace. Does anybody have anymore info on this? Where is it, too. Born and raised in Ossining, and an OFD members' son, I'd like to get into this if I could. I think it would be great! Anybody? Thanks!!! Jimmy Hoyt
  2. Their website says its located in Ossining . . . . . . I'm so confused!
  3. http://www.americanbronzeandstone.com/ny_fire_memorial.html I found this website - dont know where this is but I don't think its at one of the cemetary's (definitely not Dale - They dont have this much open space!). It looks like a park, but I cant remeber which one. Anyway, thanks for the info! I appreciate the response. Have a great holiday! Jimmy
  4. found a picture! Is this Nelson Park? it's been a while . . .
  5. has anybody got pix of the new house for Rescue 14 and Ladder 41? It's been going forever, I think. I can't wait to see. Any OFD pix in general would be cool! I have a few old ones I'm trying to scan in for this site, but my compter isn't cooperating!
  6. Awseome news! Looking forward to seeing it! Thanks for the info! Jimmy
  7. I think it looks great! everything is right there on the front page - no diggin around looking for stuff - Keep up the great work!

  9. does Ossining still have theirs?
  10. That would be awesome - I'd look myself, but since I'm in Vegas. . . . . . I checked Ossining Fire.com, but the only pic they have is a small one of the demo of the old house (kinda depressing - I spent a childhood there - my Dad was a lifer on 14). L-41 's site has some pix, but nothing really past carpet and paint, and 14's site doesn't even mention it. I'm looking forward to seeing it all operational. In any event, thank you for your help in advance - I appreciate Jimmy Hoyt Rescue 14 Home of the Keystone Cops
  11. I'm trying to find some pictures of the finished house, maybe even the rigs. It's been a while since I've been there. . . . .There were some construction pix, but they weren't quite done.
  12. Any idea when it will be done?
  13. What about Ossining's new house for Rescue 14 and Ladder 41? Any info on the toys inside?
  14. I cant believe its taken over 2 years so far! It should be pretty cool when its done though.L41 definitely needed a new home. R14 was good for one rig, but housing a secong got real tight.
  15. does anybody remember the week long fire on Croton Avenue back in January 0f 76? It averaged around zero to 15 below- the fire took so long to put out because everything kept freezing! I remeber there was a picture in the newspaper of a few FF's standing in the street (One was my Dad-Eddie Hoyt Rescue 14) and they had icicles hanging off their helmets, and ice everywhere else!Old time members on Ossining will remeber this one.....there's a picture on Ladder42.com . . .
