  1. Just a few more....
  2. Very interesting fire yesterday. I was on the first due engine as well as on the first team to enter the woods and it was a difficult fire to get to. We ended up setting up a command post on Buckout Road. We walked about 400 to 500 yards in. The problem was that the fire was spread over a large area and to get to it we were up and down little gullies and hills. We entered in with Purchase and Units from White Plains. Due to the large amount of fire that had already burned, some trees were beginning to come down and in some spots the amount of fire burning was too much for the indian tanks. To all those that were there, thanks for the help, much appreciated. As of last night around 930 there were some random spots that were still burning but as of this morning, they had burned out. Guys in the Air 1. Well done, was at one point about 30 yards from a drop. Really cool to see that work. Thanks again. Would be greatful to get any photos that may have been taken.
  3. Sorry the pictures are so small, these are some of the picutres from this past weeks visit. Truck should be done by the end of the month, will have final pictures upon delivery.
  4. Some more, enjoy.
  5. Ok, here are some updated photos of our new Utility. The truck is pretty much finished and ready for delivery. Pictures were taken Friday down at KME for the final inspection. There are just a hand full of minor things that KME is going to modify to our specs. I will post pictures in the next couple weeks once the truck is in hq. Enjoy
  6. Just to clarify, Compartment above rear door is for the stokes basket. KME Is building it. Lettering went on this week and finished product should be by if not this friday, by the first of the month. Truck will serve as utility with pumps for water conditions, some minimal hazmat items, mostly pads and some quick dry. BUt yes, this truck will be our FASTeam response rig. Thanks for the compliments, will have more photos once the truck comes in.
  7. New Utility is due in near the end of either March or April. When the truck comes in, pictures will be up. Also, new Car 2501 is out to bid. 2008 Chevy Tahoe or GMC Yukon due in probably around the same time a the new truck.
  8. Great man who could always put a smile on your face. Rest in peace Sabe. You will be missed
  9. I know it's not the same as some of the others, but West Harrison had 302 fire calls. Up from around 240 last year. First time over 300 I believe. First one of 2008, was for FAST last night in Rye.
  10. I have to agree, Hackley would definitly be near the top. Dont forget the Mamaroneck Fire night of the floods. I'm more particular b/c I was on the first due that night. Happy New Year to all and a safe 2008.
  11. West Harrison is getting a new utility. Ford 2008 F550 crew cab with utility box. Due in sometime in the late spring early summer I think.
  12. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. RIP
  13. New Apparatus will be a Utility. I believe it will be replacing Utilty 25 or 27. Saw some specs on the truck, F550 Crew Cab with utility body. Primarly will be used as a utility, however, will be the primary response vehicle for our fast team.

  16. West Harrison got 2nd best appearing Ladder and Resuce. Great parade, everything looked great. I think i added a picture of Mt. Kisco's new Engine. Let me know if it's not on there right.
  17. I think this is a great topic. I have heard the same and I will agree, that it seems that Fast Teams go to work when stuff hits the fan. A question I have is what happens in the instance when responding as a mutual aid engine or ladder, the men on the rig are on the fast team of that department? Great Topic.
  18. Rescue 35 has complete set.
  19. All my prayers are with the family and friends. Sorry to hear about your loss.
  20. So sorry to hear. Thoughts and Prayers are with their family and friends.
