  6. I must agree with the mechanic thing. We currently have an engine being manufactured and our Captain is a truck mechanic and that has been very helpful through the process of designing the piece. There is no doubt in my mind that regular firefighters should be on apparatus committees along with the officers. On our committee we have 2 chiefs, 1 commish., our capt., our Lt., our chief driver, and 4 reg. ff's (3 are ex capts. n 1 an ex chief). Even though our committee is only 11 people some meetings have had more than 20 people attend. Everyones input is wholy accepted.

Some confusion originally as to the location of the alarm, originally Wallkill FD and Wallkill VAC was dispatched to 55 Bona Venture Ave. for a reported working fire and the Walden FD (Orange) was dispatched to 55 Second St. for a reported working fire. Due to the house being on the corner the first caller thought the fire was at 55 Second St. and with being on a cell phone was tranfered to Orange Co. 911.   18. I'm not exactally sure about 'repelling' out of the Life Guard ships but I kno the Life Guards out of Stewart do lower the medics with the baskets, I've seen it done.

Dates: May 19, 20 , & 21 Where: Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex, Harrisburg, PA Tickets: $7.00-Adults Free-Under 9 It's about 3 1/2 hrs. from my house in Orange Co. we go I-84W to I-81S to US-22E I've been going down for about 5 years now, great show by far better than Nassau, and i feel alot better than NYS Chiefs Show. My Dept. has about 6 guys going down tommarrow in the van. Every year i go down on saturday with about 15 guys from my department and quite a few from others, my battalion charters a bus or two, usually a pretty big event. I feel it's deffinatly worth the drive, but what do i know i sleep on the bus mostly.
