Thornwood Fire District is accepting bids for a new Engine through 12/29/08

From today's Journal News LN section:

City of White Plains has approved $575,000 for the purchase of 2 pumpers. Bids for the bodies on those pumpers are due by 11/24.

Guessing by the overall price that these will be another pair of commercial chassis

While on the PCFD apparatus topic, what is the status of the delivery of the new E-62?

From today's JN Legal Notices, the Village of Port Chester approved $500k for a new Engine 58 at their August meeting. If anyone knows who gets the bid, please advise.

Nice job on that list, the number of Pierces in this county is pretty big. It seems like from 1990-1994 a ton of them were delivered. There are 3 on order as well now including the previously mentioned rigs for Port Chester and New Ro as well as a Pierce Velocity for Chappaqua

That is Utility 3, it is about to be replaced with a Chevy utility truck

Caught this nicely maintained antique from Yorktown Heights FD at their parade a few weeks ago. If anyone knows, please let me know the year and make for my records. Also what years it served YFD if possible. Thanks in advance

Irvington is now accepting new bids for a rescue pumper through 8/8/08

Caught this one last week and it was a beauty. If I have my info correct it is a Trailblazer and not a Tahoe but if I'm wrong let me know.

Also if there is anyone from Archville on the board where has E235 gone? It's been OOS for a while. Just curious. Thanks

New stations for Consolidated Engine (E-77) and Washington Hose (TL78) in Tarrytown. Both look like they came out very nicely. Good luck with them TFD

From today's journal news, Chappaqua FD (New Castle Fire District #1) is accepting bids for new pumper through 5/8/08.

Not sure if it is to replace the current E-144 which is a 1974 ALF that was rebuilt in 1994 with a Pierce cab, or possibly for E-145 which is the 1984 Mack with the LDH hosereels.

The previous list was for Mack CF units only.

According to today's journal news Legal notices, Fairview Fire District (Westchester) will be holding a vote on 3/28/08 to approve an addition to fire headquarters and a completely new building for station 2.
