  10. I for one, am not a skilled hand a kitbashing, so I am loving the FDNY Releases, Now that is just me, I am not wanting to start a war or anything, because I will be the first to tell you that I would like to see something from Orlando, Chicago or LA as well. I am just simply stating that I love the FDNY trucks, and are very excited about the August releases.

  13. 6 minutes WHAT, At my service 45 seconds 800hrs - 2200hrs 3 minutes after 2200 hrs. Now take it were paid, but here in Kentucky KRS states that you have to be in service within 10 minutes.
  14. Here in Kentucky and a volunteer firefighter you can respond with red lights and siren. Sound some states have pretty tough regulations.
  15. This very situation is what were dealing with now at my service. We have 2 helicopters in our county and usually no ortho at the hospital so we got into a bad habit of flying out fractures. Now with a couple of complaints from ER Doc's, we are looking at our scene flights a little more carefully, don't get me wrong if you need to fly we will fly you, but we are creating a checklist for our captains (who usually are the LZ ground contact) to go by, to critque our crews and if the patient met flight criteria. Then there is really no question about it.
  16. Looking for any suggestions on starting an in house dispatch. We are looking at the possibility of moving from 911 to having our own dispatch. We are the only EMS service in the county and answer about 10,000 calls yearly. Thanks In Advance Jamey

  22. This amusment park is just up the street from Jewish Hospital Hand Center. They also deal with other types of amputations. They are supposed to be the one of the best. I have flew a lot of amputations there. The media is reporting they took her to University Hospital. I cant believe they didnt take her straight to Jewish Hospital. I guess they considered it a Trauma, and took her straight to the trauma center. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family!
