Another question about the points. How do some members with only like 30 or something posts have over a million points?? Just out of curiosity. Also this doesn't really have anything to do with points but how come there are Alpha members with only 30 or so posts?? I read the thread about it and they said you can also be and alpha member if you consistently post well thought out and well informed posts but some members are only here for a few months with only 30 posts. Im not trying to start a battle just curious.

Im working my post count up I used to just sit back and read but I find my self posting more and more these days!

I have a questions it might have been answered already but I can't seem to find it. In order to hear the whole conversation do you need to have the bee line bus talkgroups programed in? I did not program them into my scanner and I seem to be only getting half of a convo. If not, do you have any suggestions as to why this is happening?

Im kind of on the fence with this whole topic I see the points both HFD and ONEEYED have regarding the safety of their families and such but I also have to agree with the other posts saying that it would "weed" out some of the bad seeds here. I guess I could go either way.

I totally understand your point and agree with you but unfortunately I have been "bashed" before but I've learned to shake it off b/c I am fully confident that I preformed my task to the best of my ability and thats all I can do. To me the most important task I feel I have is to bring all of my men/women home in the some condition they came to me. Everyone has there own opinion on whats right and wrong in the fire service and I am willing to accept that.

You came up with that after only being on the site for 2 months??? I've been here about a year and haven't seen to much of that going on. I've seen a few jokes about them but I really wouldn't call it "BASHING". I just think people need to learn how to take a joke.

Congrats! I took the course about 1 1/2 years ago and sat through the WHOLE course got ok grades(85-90"s) on all tests and quizzes and dropped out of the class the day of the practical.(Biggest mistake I have ever made) I regret it so much but I am just waiting to find a little more time to re take it. So stick with it and all your hard work will pay off.

I got the same email a while back to and it DID say he survived.
