  1. The truck was fitted with the body/lift axle at Truck Builders of Connecticut in Terryville. I think the truck is owned by Deluxe Paving and Excavating from Wilton.
  2. I saw the new tanker rolling down I-95 this morning in Greenwich, looked sharp.
  3. At least they still have the beautiful Mack Superliner tanker.....
  4. Was Richie Carlo Jr working there at the time this was built?
  5. In the 80s, the Sound Beach VFD in greenwich had a tractor and a large tanker due to a bad drought. Not sure how long the unit was in service for. More recently a few years back during a heat wave, i remember hearing some of the local pool water truckers were on call if any big fires happened in greenwich.
  6. I believe a stamford cop purchased the 69 open top, it was at bills auto body in darien for a while.
  7. Another picture from the 1999 Banksville parade. This truck has a few thousand feet of hose in the back, the truck seems to be a water source finder being all wheel drive.
  8. Took these photos a while back at Banksvilles 50th anniversary in 1999. This truck is stationed on High Ridge Road in stamford right next to the Merrit Parkway. Not sure the year on the truck or pump specs. From turn of rivers website- "Tanker Truck 68 is a 1988 Mack which carries 3,750 gallons of water."
