  1. Somers is Tanker 16
  2. Not to toot my own horn, but E119 is one of the nicest engines in the county. If I had to pick the best in all categories, I'd say Engine: E119 (Croton) or E61 (Port Chester) Truck: Practical: L47(North White Plains); Best Looking: TL57 (Bedford Hills) Rescue:15(Mt. Kisco) or 51(Montrose) Chiefs car:2533(Yorktown) Tanker:Practical T16(Somers) or T10(Croton) Best Looking:T15(Millwood)
  3. As my captain, Remember585, once said; M A C K MACK, MACK, MACK! Unfortunatley, they aren't making them anymore. I don't know firsthand (yet,) but I hear nothing but good things about Seagrave. Hell, if FDNY uses them, they can't be that bad!!
  4. One of the best delis in the county is the Royal Scarlet in WP. It is located at E Post Rd and Grand St. I reccomend the "Bird in a Tree"
  5. It's ok everyone, I pointed it out to our blind friend!!! ](*,) ](*,)
  6. FYI: Rumor has it, at the end of the EMT-I class being offered in Croton, CFDEMS may become an Intermediate agency, therefore they would technically become the 2nd fire agnecy in the county to provide ALS! :D/
  7. Speaking for myself (119-4) and 119-1... I don't think that's gonna happen. You can't even drive your own engine!!! :mrhappy:
  8. I know you all have good points, and trust me, I know being an "I" agency isn't that big of a deal, but I was just letting everyone know the possible future of CFD EMS. 585-- You do have an excellent point though about covering the basics first! I heard this from 2082, so he's the one to be sending all the feedback to!
  9. For anyone who isn't aware, Code 3 is taking orders for the "Tenhouse" replica E10/L10 quarters. Engine 10 is still available through Code 3, but Ladder 10 is sold out. Does anyone know where to get L10 for under $100?
  10. There are 2 houses in Harrison, right next door to each other that do, in my opinion, the best display in the county. This may not be the exact location, but I know it's within one block of the intersection of Oakland Ave and Parsons St. (Downtown, take Halstead Ave to Haviland St. Then make a left on to Oakland Ave.)You can't miss it. You could land a plane there! (NOT stat flight - according to HVAC Capt. Billotto!)
  11. that would sell like hotcakes. Now if they would just do E119!
  12. Unless we get out there this weekend, there is almost no point. Roudhead, DMA, you down?
  13. Congrats to Capt Muns, also not to forget 1st Lt. Jim Ferguson and 2nd Lt (retread) Chris Colombo. Looking foward to serving with all Engineer Elect A. Roosa III The coalition!!! =D>
  14. Congrats to everyone moving up, and good luck to Pugs!! =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>
  15. Nothing against the "Five-Seven" or BHFD, (trust me, I have a lot of respect for you guys) but I don't particualarly agree with stripping the only truck in that area for FAST calls. God forbid something big goes down in that area, say all the way out in the east end of Bedford (Village) you have to wait on Mt Kisco, Yorktown, Somers, or Banksville to get out there. And even worse would be an incident in Vista, or Goldens Bridge. Granted, New Cannan or another CT. Dept could come in, but that truck is in a prime location to cover that area of the county with the lack of ladders.
  16. I have. It ain't too fun in the back of those beasts. I call the Sherman 1 and Sherman 2 (Sherman Tank)
  17. Anybody care to make donations to help the company buy back the old Mack?!?! Damn we will miss that rig!
  18. Croton just got a PL Custom, and I do not have any complaints at all. It's a beatuful rig with good power, lots of space and a beautiful ride. I got a compliment from a medic a few weeks ago because he was able to get his IV with me doing a speed which I will not mention down route 9 en route to phelps. (seriously it wasn't too fast, maybe 70!) On the other hand, the other agency I belong to, Harrison VAC, just purchased two monstrosities. They look beautiful, and there is enough room to live in the back, but the ride is horrible. It still is a better ride than WEMS old 4004, especially when the rear wheel falls off on the HRP!!!!! Oops! #-o
  19. PCFD R40 - "High Voltage" I believe Orangeburg's Rescue truck says "Holy Rescue" on the front, but i'm not positive http://www.fdnytrucks.com/files/html/other.../Orangeburg.htm Croton Police Dept - "Fire Dept...We don't need no stinkin' Fire Dept!" PDT_Armataz_17
  20. Now maybe chevy can get back on the ball and realize that V8 with rear whell drive is the way to go! PDT_Armataz_07
  21. It's only 3300 gallons. (still a lot of water!)
  22. Never been refurbed either. Still drafts like a champ too. It'll be sad to see her go. Especially for myself and DMA327, who grew up and learned to drive on it. Simply Mackin' It!!! PDT_Armataz_07
  23. My engine co. has a 1984 Mack CF in beatiful condition that will be replaced next year(See pict at left). We were talking about trying to get the same thing done as a way to remeber the rig that served us so well for 20 years. Should I just send our photos to the same address?
