  4. Well I am proud to say I have taken that edp many times!!!!! Hahahaha
  5. They have done it a couple times before.. it is usually opened up to the airport first responders then everyone else!!!! It is a great class
  6. IN PORT CHESTER, on all structual related calls we get 3 engines,1 ladder , and the rescue, if a 10-75 is transmitted then we get 1 additional engine to the scene with the utility and PCEMS also the Town of Mamk FAST.. also the other paid engine gets relocated to fire headquarters and the remaning 2 engines and Ladder go on stby in there own quarters... hope this helps
  7. Empress... hawthorne ems 2 emts 6am-6pm then 1 emt 6pm-6am, peekskill ems 1 emt 6am-6pm 7 days a week, Mohegan ems monday,thursa fri sat sunday 6am-6pm................
  8. Since when does port Chester have a depleted volunteer staff????????
  9. That was not towards you... I find this whole argument on here ridecolous because it happens all over the place just not here.. you can't change the facts that the village boards care more about themselves then the people that need fire, police and ems protection.. and dont want hire needed manpower.. it works out well up here as to people say we have problems in pcfd point them Out. I would love to know being an officer of the department .I support both departments a hundred percent. We have a great working relationship whether they have none or one guy on.. I would.goto back anyday...
  10. Once again talking without knowing the facts.. the fire was well into rye and they were on scene as well. Port Chester engine 61 was on scene as well with engine 58 and 63 was put on stby in case more water was needed .. cause there was no hydrants near by.. it was a cab fire on the garbage truck that a memeber of the pcfd was driveing at the time..
  11. Well here is how we can resolve the issue.. YOu dont belong to rye brook or PCFD , this topic has been around for YEARS pcfd and rbfd get along great ,PCFD has been around for 175+ years and whas been and always will be providing coverage to rye brook and was even before rye brook was thought of in the 1980's......... port chester 10573 , rye brook 10573, DONT critize if you dont know the facts.. worry about your deptartments problems not ours!!!!!!!!!!! charlie melillo
  12. alot of talking going on here........ seth you are absolutley right, lets not forget port chester had been coveing that area since rye brook was founded in the 1980's and prior too and never had ANY problems what so ever........
  13. I have seen a fair share of GSW. To every part of the body, even fragments down here in yonkers, txp many and a lot of the time they are in a lot of pain, I don't think if you got a fragment in your leg you would ride a bike 3 miles to a police station let's bee real here, its just another persons way of givng Mppd a bad name and its crazy...

  15. should get your facts straight, batt 19 was in the staging area , wcpd,nc esu and port chester fire and pcrb ems were in the woods with battalion 11,2023,ems11 and 2393 who found the plane and gave an excellent descrition to where the plane was , it was visable as soon as you pulled in 113 king
  16. after with pulled in with TL2 and sent the first due crew in which we made the doa discoverys airport 11 left the scene they said there services were not needed , plane was a hastle to get to alot of brush, trees and debris everywere.. it was a horrific scene i never wish that on anybody, cans and indian packs were used to put the fire out due to nature and location it was to far in to stretch a line, i also would like to thank ems for setting up rehab after it was very hot and they did an excellent job with it, thank to all involved and the IC for doin an excellent job charlie LT hhhl pcfd
  17. i disagree as well an outstanding display of equipment by yonkers pd,fd and county pd as well im glad my hard earned money goes to new technology and equipment that will be used in small ways and big ways.........
  18. Yes it was. And it turned into a complete bashing session, which I have a feeling with the above stated seems like it going to be a pathway to the same situation as last year. But I will start it off.. My dept usally sends 2 engines a ladder and the rescue to parades, wich leaves back in town 6 engines , 1 ladder. And plenty of manpower..
  19. Great job by all YFD and YPD units let's also not forget about the EMS involved in this accident as well, everybody worked great together to make a succesful rescue and transport of the patient
  20. it is the new car 2163 belongs to chief john masicola
  21. Larchmont , all of new rochelles spare engines, and ladders were manned and brought to the scene as well as utility 91
  22. Ok cool thanks cause I saw the article on lohud and I was just wondering cause it said it started in a stove thanks for the responses
  23. Very well , the fusable links are set up at mainly 360 and 450 degrees and I was just wondering. Also if a fire system were to discharge it would not. Cause any damage there is a wet chemical clean agent in the tanks the nfpa made the change from dry powder systems to ease the damage they were causing .. If you were to have a fire the system would trip and automatically shut of the gas line and electric if wired to stop the spread of the fire and dump the chemical which leave a wet look,
