  1. Yes that is the putnam rig too by the way
  2. Yes it is that rig originally was the first HAZMAT truck for FDNY prior to going to the collapse rig. The old rescue 2 originally looked similar prior to a refurb with a Mack cab which is now I think collapse 5. 2 other rigs similar which I don't know there fate are the Mobile medical rigs they were on the American La France chassis like these.
  3. The helicopter is a very big help I know it was called to continental village I think last year for a brush fire on a mountain at night and they used the thermal imaging camera. I know chris you can elaberate more because I think you were the pilot
  4. I am surprised you pick us up on your pager considering the PL's I think are different we cant hear you on our end we use to prior to switching to the freq
  5. Fire55 to the best of my knowledge the whole story was told firefighter russo gave ems outside the residence and Firefighter Randazzo located the victim and was just assisted by firefighter healy with removing the victim
  6. to the best of my knowledge only I know Washington Engine owns its own Hand drawn hose cart or pumper. Columbian Engine owns its own handpump. aswell as former Buchanan GMC pumper they use for a muster truck. I know the fire patrol use to have their GMC Rescue truck and kept it at campsmith and were looking to sell it dont know what happened to it. Centennial Hose's B Model mack is privately owned is Rotting away on an estate in cortlandt. Columbian engine's former 1949 Chevy/Boyer is privately owned and Washington engine's Ward La France pumper is privately owned by a dentist in the city.

  11. I think it is a great looking rig and wish Briarcliff the best of luck with there new rig. I dont know why everyone must say they dont like the rig for one reason or another the engine was obviously speced to the needs of there department and set up the way they wanted and needed it !
  12. I recomend firehousesolutions.com They do my departments website its very user friendly to the webmasters and to the membership in the login section you can post announcements discussions and many other items on the members only section of the site. there are a few westchester, putnam and dutchess county departments that have them set up there page. If I am not mistaken they are building one for putnam valley vac you may want to check it out
  13. Mohegan Vac has Just ordered another Lifeline ambulance a 2009 Ford E 450 Superliner box this will replace the current 69B1 That is a 2001 Ford E450 / Wheeled Coach Delivery is expected in December of 2008
  14. It was thought about and we inquired alot when we purchased the current 69B1 no matter what medium duty chassis you buy it makes the ride in the back for the crew and the patient very bumpy and rough. the E 450 Chassis has been pretty good for us and the lifeline is a solid box well built and almost sound proofed when you are in the back.
  15. The wheeled coaches are garbage they were sold to us when we first changed to an ambulance corp the handles on the box are a constant problem the service guy comes when he feels like to look at an ambulance. we kept an ambulance third due for 3 weeks last summer because the A/C didnt work he came 3 after it was broken. It was built like crap
  16. I have been working for the county almost 8 years not a political job. A job is what you make of it. some people cause there own problems in there working environment. There isnt that much forcible overtime with county PD I havent been forced in sometime.

  18. No they are not an overtime detail they are enforcement cars they hit certain accident prone and areas where speed and other violations are heavy.
