  1. RIP Brother. May Angels lead you in.
  2. I actually think your pic is more recent, Im pretty sure the one I posted was taken in August 2006.
  3. I know what truck is in the picture is, but no matter how I tried putting it in, I wouldn't accept my answer.
  4. Don't forget Judge Jeanine
  5. ] I like his idea. And like ALS said, stick with eBay.
  6. Chris that's a good idea. I remember when I went to Sleepy Hollow HS, they would have a car from a DWI wreck on display right before prom to drive home the point. I also remember my senior year Sleepy Hollow PD was doing the "beer goggles" and Westchester County PD had the driving simulator set up to simulate what its like to try to manage driving at various BAC's.
  7. Its occasionally warranted for. I've seen it used for very small areas of smoldering brush, a garbage can fire and things of that nature, but I would never think to use it as a primary attack line.
  8. The picture was taken at the Tarrytown Fire Training Center, located right on the Hudson. In the August 2006, the village board voted in favor of donating the rig to the Pinecrest, TN FD who was running a very outdated 1950's rig as their front line piece.
  9. Some more shots
  10. Washington Engine (Tarrytown FD) 1980 Hahn after being replaced by the current TL-78, prior to being donated to the Pinecrest, TN Fire Department. Riverside Hose (Tarrytown FD) 1941 Seagrave, reportedly the first mobile radio on a fire apparatus in the US, in the process of being restored.
  11. Good Luck! Show em what the NRLEEA is made of.
  12. 1976 Maxim 100 FT Tiller (possible refurb in 1989?) From capecodfd.com \
  13. I agree with x129 on that one. I try to wear my contacts as much as possible as well.
  14. I signed earlier today and haven't received a soliciting email.
  15. Just a little bit. Add the "How not to drive like an idiot" class to the requirements.
  16. And good ladder placement in the rear of the building as well.
  17. ABC 13 Police Chase Coverage Crazy chase in Houston. This guy rammed and flipped the Crown Vic in front of him, rammed a police tahoe, and then sliced one of the arresting deputies with a box cutter.
  18. Yesterday I found an old American LaFrance Fire Extinguisher in my girlfriend's basement. I'm tryin to figure out when abouts this is from and I was wondering if anyone could help me at all. Its an old dry chem extinguisher model number PDC-2A. It has a brass label on the front. Any help would be appreciated.
  19. Moose, eyeing my stuff, eh?? So far I haven't turned up any new leads. I sent an email to the Legacy of Heroes that Mark suggested. My girlfriend said that the extinguisher was in the basement 19 years go when they moved in.
  20. Thank you for the link Mark. There is nothing stamped on the canister itself just on the brass label. The only useful things on the label is the Model number: PDC-2A and the UL Inspection number: A-751283. I tried entering that into a search on the UL site, but that was unsuccessful for me.
  21. Thanks for the insight Joe. As you can on the bottom right corner, the numbers that are stamped is an Underwriters Laboratories Inspection number. I've searched online and haven't been able to find anything about that model number extinguisher and havent had much luch searching the UL number either. I've searched all over the extinguisher and can't find a manufacture date.
  22. I'm not exactly sure about the lifeguards, but Ill take a stab at it. My guess would be that while they are employed by the LACoFD, they are not firefighters and most likely only working during whatever time period they have a swim season, which is prob a good chunk of the year. Like I said I'm only taking a guess on this.
  23. It looks like the dark rims might be after market. If you look at the rear driver side rim in the first picture, you can see that a good portion of the black has already started to peel awhile.
  24. I believe that pick-up is used by the motorcycle unitof the Harrison PD.
  25. More power to him. I've never worked with anyone on the fireground who hearing impaired, I have worked with someone who is seeing impaired, (not fully blind), and he is one of the best firefighters I know and would trust him with my life any day of the week no matter who else was on the scene.
