A Mural Of A Red Engine 170

As I mentioned in my thread about the new Childrens Hospital

( http://emtbravo.net/index.php?showtopic=15094 See this thread for more information and photos ), there were some awesome and highly detailed murals on these walls inspired by Hartsdale FD Station 1, which the artist visited for inspiration.

This view is looking out the back of Hartsdale Fire Station 1, through the kitchen window. See 2173 sitting there?

Notice any differences? One is lime, and one is SOLID RED....no white over red or any other cruddy paint scheme. See how good it looks solid red with a blue stripe? Hint, hint, cough, cough if anybody on here is thinking that a change from lime would also be good.

Red does seem to be a nice color ;-)

White over red wouldn't be bad either.

was their any reason for them to make it red instead of lime, or was that just an artistic touch. it does look good in red, but that is what makes you gues stick out is those "lime yellow" rigs.
