The Official "I'm Working on the Holidays" Thread

28 posts in this topic

Just for fun, i figured id start up a thread for all those working during the Holiday's this year.

This year i'll be working:

Dec 24/25 - 3pm on xmas eve to 3pm xmas day

Dec 31/Jan 1 - 3pm new years eve to 3pm new years day

Clearly not the ideal way i would like to spend my Christmas and new years, but they just so happen to fall on my reverse 24, and hey someones gotta do it! To all my fellow holiday workers - stay safe and try and enjoy what you can! To all those staying home or going to the in-laws/cousins/grandma's/etc enjoy and have a safe trip! smile.gif

Young, single men/women, with no kids, and most often the junior men, usually volunteer to work the holidays or are told they should.

New Year's Eve is an expected payback if working that night.

BTW, working XMas day.

Sorry but for the first time in Seven years I will not be working on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day and I didn't work on T-Day. First time in Seven years!!!!

But me having no life at all, I figured out that I'll be working the holidays for the next succeeding five years on my current schedule.
