Mohegan Lake- Unusual Incident 11-17-07

Location: Oregon Rd

Frequency: 46.26, Mohegan District wide

Units Operating: 2261,2263,2265,2266, L-35, E-258 & E-254 dispatched but held in quarters

Description Of Incident: Cat & Owner stuck 30' feet up in tree

Excellent & Proffessional Dispatch by 636

18:42 Mohegan command reports Feline & Owner have been rescued

Well that's one you don't hear everyday. Any truth to the rumor that the cat went up to try and coax it's owner down??? :P

Maybe the cat was camera shy ;)

Or maybe the cat was so eager to save his owner, that he didn't have time to grab a camera???

Luckily this incident ended sucessfully with cat and owner back on the ground. this had the makings of a real catastrophe. They could have used Mutual Aid for the Somers CRT (Cat Rescue Team, Captain Mike Cyrulik) :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Most times the cat is smarter then it's owner. So my guess is that when photographers showed up, the cat ran away to keep some dignity after trying to save it's owner.... ;)

But isn't it true you don't see people stuck in trees all over the place.

When they get hungry, they'll climb down.

Why put someone else in danger trying to save them? :lol:
