FDNY FF Brendan Cawley (L27) Returns to Work

3 posts in this topic

FF Brendan Cawley (27-Truck) returned to work after approximately 3 years of extensive recovery & rehabilitation after injuries he suffered during the "black Sunday" fire.

On that fateful day, 6 FDNY members became trapped on the #4 floor of a Bronx tenament and were forced to jump. Two of them, Lt. Curtis Meyran & Lt. John Bellew made the supreme sacrifice.

Hats off to FF Cawley & best wishes on returning to his dream job!

That's AWESOME they let him return to full duty, it took a lot of strength to make that recovery......I'm sure he had the full support of his fellow FF's during his recovery and his return to work.

I wonder if the department gave him a ridiculously hard time when he tried/wanted to come back?

Again, so cool he came back to work after his severe injuries-it's hard being out.
