Military Playing War Games This Weekend?

13 posts in this topic

Just curious if anyone knows if the military is conducting war games this weekend in or around the Hudson Valley? I've seen a number of fighter style aircraft and military helicopters flying low and fast for a few hours now. Either way, free air show :P

About 2 weeks ago I was leaving City of Poughkeepsie FD HQ and we saw an A10 Tank Killer flying low going north up the Hudson.

Dont quote me , but I do believe Army is playing Navy tomorrow. I think!!! Today from medic 2 I had seen a Navy aircraft flyby. It is normal for the armed services to buzz the other before & during the games.

It's the Navy playing the Army to psych them out for the game in Baltimore.

Earlier this week (Wednesday?) about a half-dozen military trucks departed Newburgh on I-84 heading Eastbound.

I ID'ed a M1089 Wrecker and 6 M1088's with empty trailers. First time I've seen that many together. I wonder what's going on.

A-10's used to fly out of Syracuse or somewhere around there. Used to see them quite often when I was a kid.
