Westchester Trunking / Arc15 help

10 posts in this topic

I'm using ARC15 software with Uniden/Bearcat BCT-15 scanner.

I also belong to Radioreference.com

When programming I use the "Radio Reference" button in ARC15 to directly get frequencies there site.

Here's the question; Do I have to do ANYTHING else?? I see alot of references to "base", "step" "offset" & I can't find where in the ARC15 program for me to enter "base" "step" "offset" for the Westchester system.

Anything help would be GREATLY appreciated (including: step by step or screenshots)

THANKS

The scanner doesn't come with anything. You can download ARC software from BuTel and run it from your desktop.

You can create and upload a fixed number of "systems" (for a trial period) then you have to buy it.

I will attest to the fact it's more than worth it to buy.

No problem.

The screen shots taken above are from the Basic version.

I imagine "lite" is pretty much the same as basic, except lacking the ability to have a virtual scanner actively display on your desktop.

OK so I lied one more time I have everything set up exactly how your screen shots are but when someone is talking on the trunk system the channel stops and says for example "60 fire 11" but I dont hear anything. Do you know what that could be from???

There in fact may be no one talking. Someone could be just keying-up.

Try changing the Modulation to NFM from Auto, on the Zone General tab.

Or, one of your Zone base frequency or step settings is wrong.

Let's try this: Copy the ARC profile and put it in an email and send it to me, I'll take a look at it.

from the file menu: File/Save Profile As/ (give it any name)/ save it to your desktop.

send it as an attachment.
