Man Crushed by own car

HOPEWELL JUNCTION — A Hopewell Junction man was crushed by his car today while he was working under it.

East Fishkill police said Sean McManus, 38, of Hopewell Junction was repairing his 1995 Ford Explorer when it rolled off a set of ramps.

The vehicle landed directly on top of him.

Police said McManus was unconscious and unresponsive at the scene. He was taken to Saint Francis Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 3:09 p.m.

The case is still under investigation.
