The car that caused it all.... It made a direct hit on the gas meter of Franks Pizzeria.

Rt. 9 was closed around the incident which caused a major traffic problem around the area. Here three Rombout firefighters return from evacuating the buildings on the east side of Rt 9

Central-Hudson electric crews cut the power to Frank's while gas crews worked to stop the leak.

When I first arrived on the scene, I overheard several bystanders say that the Village People (As in YMCA.......) were having lunch at Frank's when the incident occured.... I don't think was was true....... I suspect what they saw was the Central-Hudson gas crew in their bright yellow attire......

The DCOER Mobile Command Center was there for a short time and "had their eye up"

WOW...Daytime shots!! I think these are the first daytime shots I have seen of yours Bill, but they are still great!
