Brewster gets K-9 patrol

Brewster Police Department thats it ?

what about the sheriff's dept. . ?

and i think having k-9's in Brewster is just stupid there is no reason for it from what i see day to day but hey maby i'm wrong

Just out of curiosity, what hours do the Brewster and Cold Spring PD's cover? Are either of them 24 hours?

How many officers does each have?

Cold Spring usually has one officer on duty 24/7 working 8 hour tours. Most officers are officers in other agencies also. Occasionally in the summer they will add an additional officer on weekends for the tourists. All officers are part time. They have an "Officer in Charge" that runs the department. Total Roster is about 15

Brewster covers 0800-2400. Oficers work when and what they can but they seem to cover the tours. A lot of the Brewster Officers are retired from other agencies and are doing it to keep active and keep their certificate. They do have a few younger officers. Some are active in other agencies also. They have a full command structure of Chief, LT, Sgts, etc. Their roster is about 20
