It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of retired Fire Inspector Brian MacIssac.

Calling Hours: Sunday, February 22, 2009 from 2pm-6pm

Brian P. MacIsaac

TOWN OF LAGRANGE - Brian P. MacIsaac, 60, of the Town of LaGrange, died Monday, Feb.16, 2009 at home. Mr. MacIsaac worked for the City of Poughkeepsie Fire Department as a Fire Inspector for 34 years, retiring in 2004. From 2004 to the present, he worked Security at Marist College. He was a member of the NYS Fire Investigators Chapter #23; a member of the International Association of Firefighters; and a member of the Firefighters Local #586. Mr. MacIsaac enjoyed motorcycles, photography, fishing and especially ice fishing. He was a voracious reader. Born Jan. 18, 1949 in Danbury, CT, he was the son of Francis and Eileen Murray MacIsaac. He was a graduate of Arlington High School. On May 19, 1985, in Poughkeepsie, he married Linda Roe. Mrs. MacIsaac survives at home. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Devin & Lori MacIsaac of Kingston; his daughter, Tara Orellana and Robert Scanlon of Manassas, VA; his grandchildren, Lauren and Ian MacIsaac; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Eileen MacIsaac. Calling hours will be 2-6 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 22, at the William G. Miller & Son Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:45 a.m., Monday, Feb. 23, at Holy Trinity Church, 775 Main St., Poughkeepsie. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 45 Reade Pl., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 or a local charity of your choice.
