Years before Specialty Warning Systems ...... The interior of the Faiview FD (Greenburgh) Duty Officers Car looked like this.

This set up was done inhouse and was modern for its day ... 1976 or 1977.

Those old Suburban's were great trucks! I like the address card-file system. I bet that took a bit of effort to compile.

Yes , every street in the district with exact location of the house by number is shown.

All hydrants are indicated and floor plans of commercial buildings. These are updated of course ,,and scanned in the toughbooks that are in the rigs today.

I believe the yorktown suburban mentioned went from being a chiefs vehicle converted to a utility then it bacame the first vehicle for C&O zone 4 car 1404, later followed by an ambulance donated by the Somers fire district and since replaced by an ambulance from the Verplanck fire protective district which is the current 1404.

That control box moved the clear spot light built into the top of the Twin Sonic ,, above the speaker housing. This was done instead of the "A" post - hand held (manual) style.

Isn't that old rescue still in service with Greenburgh Civil Defense?
