Yonkers Foam Vehicle

The YFD foam truck is now located on Kimball Avenue just below Yonkers Avenue in southeast Yonkers.

Anybody know why it's not located in the heart of the industrial areas such as Nepperhan Ave-Saw Mill River Road???

This would be the most likely place where foam is needed.

And did Mount vernon discontinue theirs? The Foam sign is still posted on the station outside door.

I believe Mount Vernon's Foam Unit is OOS.

Yonkers Foam Unit, stationed at 13, although it is not close to the more industrialized areas,I think is stationed there because it is close to the thruway, which a high number of fuel oil tankers travel each day. Or it's the company that has space or training for it
