Yonkers Fire Dept. Recall

I have noticed that when Yonkers has a multiple alarm fire they recall members to operate spare trucks. Can anybody advise how this is done. Are members advise that they are on recall duty for a particular period or do they just go down a list. Also where do the members report when a recall takes place. If not there own firehouse, what do they do in regards to turnout gear.

They wont call the oncoming group. They go to their own quarters to P/U gear and then go to whatever house the spares are at and man them.

1. Members are called off a list

2. They pickup their gear and report to Ridge Hill

3. Reserve apparatus are kept at the Ridge Hill Facility

4. Reserve Apparatus are fully equipped and ready to go

E-305, E-315, E-317 & L-78

5. Spare apparatus are kept in fire stations and are not equipped but if needed their is caches of equipment for them at Ridge Hill

E-301, E-302, E-316, TL-77, L-76 & 79
