John and I came on the job together way back in 1971.

He was one of those guys that made the job FUN.

Rest in Peace, my Brother

Chief- we had many good times together over the past years, and even managed to put out a few fires along the way! You will be greatly, greatly missed by myself and so many others.

My thoughts are with your family in this most sad time.

I have known John for 20-plus years since my brother got on the job in Rye FD. I will miss his stories of the old days in Hartsdale. He had a long devotion to the fire service and he will surely be missed. My condolences to the Wickham family and the members of the Rye FD.
