Sam Oitice Heroes Remembered Memorial

On Saturday August 15 the completed pieces of the Sam Oitice 9/11 memorial will be erected at the Riverfront Green Park in Peekskill. Pieces are slated to be transported to the site today and construction will begin Saturday morning.

Stop by,take some pictures and enjoy what promises to be a great memorial to the First Responders lost on 9/11 and the 7 Peekskill volunteers lost on 8/1/1918 at the Fleischmann's plant in a grain warehouse fire and subsequent collapse.

Helmet and coat are missing from monolith - had to go back to Ohio, wrong bolt hole pattern.......
