Fairview Fire Department (Greenburgh New York) Ward LaFrance

Sorry Tim, thats a 1955 OREN with a Corbett chassis, the first fire engine I ever drove. Was working for a body shop on Townsend st and was sent to Fairview to pick it up at sta. 2. I was working on it when the RB&W fire came in and had the county radio on, left for the fire with the batterys still on and got hell for it. Nobody knew how to jump it !

Pic was taken on Lincoln Ave. right by the Hutch on the Mt. Vernon/Pelham border. My wife grew up about 4 blocks away on the Pelham side.

The Getty gas station is still there.
