Hamden FD, CT New Squad 1

5 posts in this topic

I took these pics of Hamden CT's new squad. Squad 1 and Rescue 1 operate out of their house at Whitney and Dixwell Avenues, however are both temporarily relocated as the station is undergoing renovations. The squad replaced Engine 4, whose apparatus replaced Engine 5's old apparatus. These photos were taken in May 2009, I just found them again. I only had a small memory card at the time, so I wasnt able to grab many pics.

Nice. Who is the manufacturer?

Must be a pain to get to the ground ladders though.

Sorry, it is a Spartan. I don't know much more than that though.

The firehouse at the Memorial Town Hall is currently closed as the entire building is being renovated. Squad 1 (ex-Engine Company No. 4) is being housed at Station 3 on Hartford Turnpike while Rescue 1 is being housed on upper Whitney Avenue at Station 5 (just north of the Route 40 Connector).
