Englishtown-Manalapan new MCI Bus

6 posts in this topic

The Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid Squad received its new 2005 International Medtec Mass Casualty Ambulance and placed it in service last week. The vehicle, 26-60, will be the primary response vehicle for MVAs, Fires, HazMats, MCIs, Standbys, & other special events. The vehicle is equipped to handle every day EMS calls in addition to having large amounts of equipment to handle a large scale incident.

Nice rig...I'm suprised none of the EMS agencies in this area have thought about a vehicle like this for MCI's or for Standby Situations.

It also has LED lights on the inside of all the doors, so that if we're on a scene and the doors are open, passing motorists can see the open doors. I will try to post some more pictures, maybe of the inside of the rig. I think the best feature though are the windows; with the flip of a switch, they go from clear to tinted.
