Unless I missed something (like your SOG), why did you roll the brush truck, at least that is what I assumed the BRAT to be, to a MVA?

Does it carry other necessary tools for car accidents?

Wassaic's brush truck (correct me if I am wrong Mark), is their main truck for road closures, which is why it was called in.

This incident was not in our response district, we were called under mutual aid for a road closure assignment however the BRAT does respond to MVA's within our fire district as it carries an assortment of hand tools, SCBA, a portable winch,Class A and B Foams as well as fire police items just for road closures as Josh just mentioned.

Thank you for clearing that up. I am going to head the website to look at pictures of the truck. Anyone know any thread on here with in depth photos? I looked quickly, did not see any.

my mistake, during the build process I thought you mentioned that since this was going to respond to MVAs that there was going to be a combi tool on it in one of those diamond plate boxes.

This is a post that began over a year ago with pre-delivery shots, and continues right up until fairly recently.

Full vehicle specs are in there, around mid-thread.

This truck turned out wicked!

Thanks Jack for the kind words and adding the thread of the build process, I misread Josh's post about the pictures, didn't realize he was looking for pictures of the BRAT.

Thanks for all the help guys. I've noticed quite a bit of differences between the apparatus and SOG between my town, and down in that area. The BRAT is a wicked truck!

Mark awesome Pics. Especially of the batteries from the Pole Box. Just another thing to think and remind ourselves about..... Lot of Hazards there.

How long did it take to get the power company there having a victim entrapped?

Power company was there fairly quickly, I was on the road closure detail so I don't really know the time frame, they were there before I got up to the scene and yeah the batteries on the ground, just another thing to look for.

Just an fyi those batteries are for the power supply for cablevision. In the gray 1in pvc pipe is also live electral wires. In the power supply there are either 6 or 8 batteries depending on the area it is feeding. It is always important to "look up" when you have a car into a pole. Those power supplies are very heavy can can do a lot of damage.
