Piece of WTC Comes To DCSO for Memorial

3 posts in this topic

Today, escorted by police and fire units from Dutchess County, a piece of steel from the hallowed World Trade Center was brought to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office in the City of Poughkeepsie for a monument dedicated to those lost in the terror attacks of 2001.

KUDOS to all involved. And thank you!

Where/how can a dept get information on getting a piece of steel for a memorial. I know there are some stipulations, but I cant find anything offical saying how to do go about this.

Any ideas?

I am not sure, but would love to do so for own department as well...the article stated it took upwards of a year and strict rules must be adhered to.

Would love to hear from someone in the know here...
