Missing Woman from Putnam Valley

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 54-year-old town woman who suffers from depression and may be in need of medical attention.

Cathleen Venditti was last seen by her family at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, when she reportedly left their Cherry Street home for an appointment in Croton-on-Hudson. She missed the appointment, and her husband notified authorities after she failed to return home. She was still missing this morning.

Venditti, who has blond hair, blue eyes, is 5 foot 7 and 165 pounds, and was wearing blue jeans and a black jacket, Putnam County Sheriff’s Department reports in a “Missing Adult” flier it is circulating. She was driving a 2008 blue Toyota RAV 4 with New York registration EHN 8004.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at 845-225-4300.

As I understand it, it was a combination. PCSO did some good investigative work and narrowed the search area down to the Orange/Ulster area and an LPR on an Ulster County unit picked up her car in the motel parking lot.
