WMC's New EMS Crew Room

Westchester Medical Center is pleased to announce the opening of our dedicated

"EMS Crew Room."

This room is available to our prehospital care providers as a location to

complete their prehospital care report, a place to rest and a place to stay

current on WMC course offerings and announcements.

Please join our hospital leadership for a ribbon cutting and dedication of this

room to all of our EMS colleagues.

Hopefully, they don't turn it into an office for the WMC nursing staff like the original crew room in the new ER.

Also, I wonder if they will keep any beverages or snacks on hand?

The original WMC EMScrew room became an office for the staff a few weeks after the new ED / Trauma area opened up. Phelps EMS office has suffered the same fait. White Plains still has a good office for EMS to take care of business.

New NWHC ED has a great EMS room, although no one ever stocks it from the hospital.

While I dont go to WMC very often, the last time I was there I had to do a PCR from a near MCI while sitting in the back of my rig, needless to say I did not enjoy that....

Hudson Valley also has a new EMS room. They keep water and coffee there for the crews. Much better than standing by the nurses station to finish off paper work.
