In 1939, the residents voted to build a new fire house. The new building was built on the property immediatley adjacent to the older firehouse.

Greenville used to have the coolest fire horn. Sounded like a tugboat whistle when it went off. Not sure if its still in service or not.

The horns seem pretty cool. Although they must have been loud, it's sort of a shame so many FD's removed them. Up in CT, Darien FD still uses theirs. It can be heard around for miles, especially at the restaurant across the street(LOL!). I think Sound Beach FD in Greenwich, CT might also still use theirs. Other than that, I can't think of too many that are still around or have been used in the last 30, 40 years.

The driveway is being paved for the apparatus that will soon roll in response to alarms.
