Description of Incident: (mainly according to LoHud) Heavy fire reported on 2nd floor of a 3-story OMD. Firefighters rescue two trapped inside, and another five residents climbed the fire escape and jumped to adjoining building roof (according to LoHud). Accidental fire started in 2nd floor kitchen, and quickly extended to third floor and porch. Two residents were treated for smoke inhalation, and nine firefighters had to be taken to the hospital for conditions ranging from exhaustion to a sprained back. Red Cross, with OEM's help, provided emergency lodging and/or funds for food, clothing, and/or other basic necessities for the three displaced families (11 adults and three children) of the three affected apartments.
