P.O. stabbed in the head and arm by an EDP. The injured Officer is from Washingtonville in Orange County.

Prayers for a speedy recovery and thoughts are with his family and NYPD brothers and sisters.

[NEW YORK -- New York City police have identified the suspect accused of stabbing an officer in the temple and arm during an emergency call.

Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly says Terrence Hale was arrested today after the stabbing.

Police were answering a call about an emotionally disturbed person in East Harlem when Officer Eder Loor was stabbed with a switch blade.

Police say the suspect fled and was captured about a block away. He was taken into custody. It's not clear if he has an attorney.

Loor is in critical but stable condition.
