Ambulances Required At Racetracks?

8 posts in this topic

Was visitng Belmont last Saturday for the Kentucky Derby and during the Belmont races, their own ambulance always followed the race horses from the starting gate to finish line. Is this a mandated requirement? If so, why would it not apply at Yonkers Raceway? And any injuries incurred with harness racing would likely be more serious due to the harness wheels and equiment used at Yonkers.

Happy Weekend

Years ago Empress had two ambulances at Yonkers Raceway from about 6pm-about Midnight. One at the paddock (BLS, Stables)Three people 2 emt's and 1 medic in the building. But I think that changed after I left, I heard both now BLS unsure what it is now.
