Several area fire departments and local police are at the scene of the fire at 500 East Funston Ave. Spring Valley and Hillcrest firefighters are at the scene as well as Spring Valley police, an officer said.

A raging fire erupted at a Spring Valley apartment complex Wednesday morning, displacing residents and prompting nearly a half-dozen Rockland County fire departments to respond, officials said.
