Upstate NY Commercial EMS won fair wages

1 post in this topic

This has to be the first time in NYS where an EMS union has striked, won fair wages, and didnt loose any contracts (as of yet) I know there are alot of Pro EMS Union Members here on the boards, I'm just looking to see other members reactions. Congrats to the members of Teamsters Local 375 of rural/metro EMS for fighting for what they wanted.

"BUFFALO, N.Y. With a strike set to begin in a little over a week, executives at Rural/Metro Medical Services of Western New York are hoping to avoid a work stoppage but plan to continue coverage of emergency medical services.."

"After beginning a strike at just after midnight, union workers have reached a tentative agreement with Rural/Metro Medical Services of WNY.

In a media announcement released just after 9:20 a.m. this morning, Rural/Metro Division General Manager Jay Smith said the two sides reached a resolution after an all-night negotiating session."
