Colorado Man Could Sue Divers Who Saved Him From Submerged Car

I'm kind of conflicted on this one. If the rescuers missed the fact he was in the car and he really had to sit there for two hours, then maybe he has something. Otherwise, he's trying to make money off the people who made sure he wasn't pulled from the car dead.

A Colorado man, despite acknowledging that he's lucky to be alive after being trapped in a submerged car, has filed an intent to sue his rescuers for half a million dollars

What obligation does the community have to provide this level of service? In most cases if you can not prove this question, then their is no liability.

After looking at the news video, just another person (and his ambulance chasing lawyer) looking for a payday. A swiftwater rescue in the mud, give me a break. And if the road was so dangerous, as he contends, what was he doing out on it.
