Danbury to open dispatch proposals today

Danbury officials are scheduled to open proposals at 2 p.m. this afternoon from private companies interested in operating the city’s emergency dispatch center. At least four companies so far have submitted proposals, according to the city’s purchasing director.

Besides Somers being dispatched by WEMS, I've never heard of a dispatch center outsourcing.

I wonder who the four companies are?
