Alpine/Palisades NJ Brush Fire 5/2/15

Time: 2000

Location: Bergen county rockland county line

Units: Wcpd M-2 and aviation Nyack fd M- 10, peirmont Fd m-13, tarry town fd M-5 , Irvington M-4 , WCDES BATT 14 , fdny M1A

Description: large brush fire on the palisades along the Hudson River

Operating on ch: WC Fg 1 Fire 14 marine ch 16 & 13

Aprox. 1445 all westchester units and aviation in service

Tricky part of this fire was members had to access the fireground via boat. No access from land. Majority of fire was fought by firefighters on ground and via water drops. It was too far for master streams from fireboats to do any real damage.
