Chevrolet Introduces New Suburban 3500HD For Emergency Services Use

Chevrolet will offer its Suburban 3500 Heavy Duty full-size SUV to state and local government entities and commercial fleets as a police or fire emergency response vehicle for the 2017 model year, after developing the vehicle as an unmarked armored federal law enforcement vehicle, a GM spokesman said.

I wonder why they aren't introducing a diesel engine option for it though?
