Fundraising for Firefighters

3 posts in this topic

Good afternoon everyone,

My name is Tim Collins and I am a firefighter here in Westchester.  This April, I will be running in the 2020 Boston Marathon for the Last Call Foundation.  This charity was founded by the mother of Boston FF Michael Kennedy who perished in the Back Bay Fire on March 26th, 2014.  This foundation raises money for tools, equipment and much needed funding for Cancer research for firefighters.  Most notably, they fitted almost every single firehouse in the city of Boston with gear extractors to help clean their gear after a fire.  As you all are aware, firefighters are 60% more likely to develop Cancer than the general population.  Please take the time to look at the GoFundMe page that has been set up and help get much needed funding for firefighters!

Thank you all for your time and support!

Tim

Good evening everyone,

I will be hosting a fundraiser event at The Lazy Boy Saloon on April 4th, 2020 from 3pm-5pm.  It will be a $40 open bar and $10 of your purchase goes straight to the foundation!

Come out support firefighters with the local firefighter community!

Good afternoon all!  I am again raising money for the Last Call Foundation in Memory of Fallen Firefighter Michael Kennedy and running in the 2021 Boston Marathon! After last years marathon being canceled due to the pandemic, the marathon is now back on! This foundation was founded in honor of Boston FF Michael Kennedy who died in the line of duty, along with Lt. Ed Walsh, on March 26th, 2014. All the money raised goes to help firefighters get the much needed funding they need for equipment. As we all know, budgets are stretched thin and first responders have been pushed to their limits over the last year and a half. The need for more PPE, decontamination equipment and necessary tools can be tough to come by in the age of dwindling budgets.
Please follow the link below and donate and help me reach my goal of helping firefighters. All money goes directly to the foundation.

Stay strong stay safe!
