The Death Of K-Rock NY

96.9 is an excellent station, too bad we don't get it down here in Westchester. 91.7? WXCI from Western Conn. University in Danbury, is also really good if you hit it at the right time.

Well, There's also 90.7 (WFUV) and 107.1 "The Peak" I especially enjoy the Irish music Sunday afternoons on FUV.

FYI.....92.7/96.9 WRRV used to be based in Middletown for the longest time. They only relocated to the Poughkeepsie area within the past few years.

Personally, I like WPLJ 95.5, and listen to it whenever I'm down that way (read: South of Sloatsburg). It doesn't come in as well up here as it used to, and cuts in and out on the road. Having a "local" station make it's home at 95.7 doesn't help matters much, either. The local outfit plays basically the same kind of music, but it doesn't sound as good, and the people aren't as entertaining.
